2018 RYR-1 International Family Conference
Overview
The second RYR-1 International Family Conference took place July 13-15, 2018 in Pittsburgh, PA. With over 200 attendees from five different countries and 16 expert speakers, the meeting was a huge success. New in 2018: The Conference was “live streamed” on the web so that people who were unable to attend in person could still participate in the meeting. In addition, lectures were videotaped and have been posted on our website indefinitely. Many diverse topics were covered, including: genetics, potential therapies, updates on research, and financial planning advice for people with disabilities. This conference would not have occurred without the wonderful leadership of Jeni Ryan, a Director of The RYR-1 Foundation, as well as our hard working volunteers, and our numerous world-renowned speakers.
