Overview
Highlights
- We report recurrent atraumatic compartment syndrome as a presenting feature in patients with a RYR1-related disorder and McArdle disease, respectively.
- We review all previously published cases of (recurrent) atraumatic compartment syndrome in the context of genetic neuromuscular disease and discuss possible disease-specific mechanisms.
- We conclude that (recurrent) atraumatic compartment syndrome may be a rare but important presenting feature of genetic neuromuscular disorders.
