February 8, 2024 – The Board of Directors is excited to announce that Lindsay Goldberg, BSN, RN, has been appointed as Executive Director, effective February 4, 2024. An integral part of The RYR-1 Foundation for many years, Lindsay has been functioning essentially as a part-time executive director. Not only is she fully committed to The RYR-1 Foundation, but Lindsay also serves as a patient advocate and liaison, and feels deeply connected to the RYR-1-RD community. 

“Since the inception of The RYR-1 Foundation, Lindsay has been the workhorse behind the scenes putting in an enormous amount of time and effort to build the groundwork and logistics of the organization,” said Jeni Ryan, Director of The RYR-1 Foundation. “From accounting and legal aspects to HR, community outreach, and fundraising, she has been an absolute critical part of almost every person’s experience with the organization. Her scientific and medical background in nursing is invaluable.”

“I’m very honored and excited to take on this opportunity and assume this official role,” said Lindsay Goldberg, BSN, RN, Executive Director of The RYR-1 Foundation. “As a co-founder and family member of an affected individual, The RYR-1 Foundation has a very special place in my heart. And, as a nurse, I have seen firsthand how important it is to have an organization that supports individuals and families affected by a specific disease.” She adds: “I look forward to officially leading this organization forward.
